West Palm Beach Inshore: 47" Barracuda Tops Mixed Bag

One for the books today! I took soundarya out for some inshore fishing in West Palm Beach this summer. We hit the water in the early afternoon, greeted by cloudy skies and the aftermath of morning rain. The Kaveri River Basin was our playground for the day, offering prime conditions for our target species.

Once the stage was set, we got down to business with live bait fishing and sight fishing techniques. Our efforts paid off as we hooked into a variety of fish. The highlight reel included Bar Jack, Yellow Jack, and Barred Sand Bass. But the real showstopper was a Great Barracuda stretching an impressive 47 inches! We also put our cast netting skills to use, which proved effective in securing bait and adding to our overall success.

Despite the overcast conditions, the fish were active and willing to bite. We wrapped up the trip with a solid count of catches and some great memories made on the water.
